Small copper prills of diameter 2-5 mm can easily be made on rotating cathode discs.The power consumption is drastically reduced and a cell operates on 600-1000 amp/m². The prills were washed and in one test they were extruded directly to copper wire.

The produced wire met all standards for copper wire. However, more work needs to be done. The cells can either be bi-polar or mono-polar, both has been tried with good results and automatic harvesting.

More work needs to be done and Miltec is looking for a partner to develop this unit and its operation, preferably a copper producer.
